NormBid Service Provider Terms of Service
Please read these terms before using NormBid. They apply to the NormBid website and its accounts, listings, proposals, support tools, and business profiles. “Client” means the business that posts a project. “Service Provider” means the business that submits a bid or expresses interest. “NormBid,” “we,” and “us” refer to the operator of this marketplace. You accept these terms when you create an account or explicitly accept an updated version. The Privacy Policy explains our information practices.
1. The marketplace and its limits
NormBid provides software for Clients to describe work and for Service Providers to respond. It is an introduction and communication service. NormBid does not itself perform, supervise, inspect, insure, or pay for the work; employ Service Providers; act as an agent for either business; or become a party to their project agreement. We do not guarantee that a response will be selected or that a selected business will enter or fulfill an agreement. No site listing, bid, expression of interest, or selection is a guarantee of a completed project.
2. Who may use the service
You must be at least 18 years old and have authority to use the account for the business you identify. You must provide accurate, current registration and business information and keep it updated. Each business is responsible for its authorized users, credentials, and activity under its account. Do not share passwords or authenticator secrets. Notify us through Support if you suspect unauthorized use. We may request clarification or restrict use if information appears inaccurate or an account is misused. We do not promise to independently verify the identity or authority of every account.
3. Reviewing a project
Clients choose a listing’s category, general location, scope, deadline, budget or exact price, and any project files. An open-bidding project invites proposed prices; a set-price project invites interest at the Client’s stated price. Review the scope and files carefully and ask the Client to clarify anything needed before making a separate work agreement. A listing is an invitation to discuss work, not a promise to hire or a binding offer by NormBid. Clients can select one Service Provider in the current system; a response does not create a right to selection.
4. Responding to a project
A Service Provider is responsible for reviewing the scope and files before responding and for stating an accurate price, capacity, qualifications, and proposal. An expression of interest at a set price indicates willingness to discuss work at the displayed amount; details still must be agreed directly with the Client. The answer to the associated-license question and any license details on an account are self-reported. NormBid does not verify licenses or insurance, determine which credentials the law requires for a job, or grant permission to perform regulated work. A “No” answer does not bar a response on this platform, but no user may perform work unlawfully. Both businesses should verify credentials directly through appropriate sources before proceeding.
5. Selection and the separate work agreement
When a Client selects a response, the site records that choice and shares the selected businesses' contact details so they can communicate directly. This selection is not a signed service contract, does not make NormBid a party to one, and does not settle all details of the project. The Client and Service Provider must decide for themselves whether to proceed and document the scope, payment amount and schedule, deadlines, changes, permits, insurance, cancellation, remedies, and any other needed terms. Each business is responsible for its own statements, diligence, performance, and compliance with applicable law. NormBid does not collect or hold payment for their project. NormBid cannot guarantee payment, quality, safety, completion, or recovery after a dispute. Report suspected platform fraud or abuse to Support; a report does not replace any rights or remedies against the other business.
6. Information and project files
Company and general profile details, listings, and reviews may be visible as described in the Privacy Policy. Eligible Service Providers can see listing descriptions and attached files. Only the Client sees private responses to its listing, subject to access by NormBid operations staff. The Client can see the responding Service Provider's contact name and self-reported license details. The selected businesses receive each other's business contact details after selection. Do not include private contact information, sensitive personal records, trade secrets, or confidential third-party material in fields or files shown to other users unless you have permission and accept that access. Users must not scrape, sell, misuse, or contact another user for purposes unrelated to a legitimate marketplace interaction.
7. Content permission and responsibility
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant NormBid a nonexclusive permission to store, process, display to intended users, transmit, back up, and remove that content as reasonably needed to run, protect, and improve the service. You confirm that you have the right to provide it and that it does not infringe others' rights. Do not submit malicious files, unlawful material, impersonations, spam, or misleading content. We may remove or restrict content and accounts for suspected violations, safety, legal requests, or operational reasons. We are not obligated to publish or retain every item indefinitely.
8. Reviews and support reports
After both selected businesses mark a project completed in the site, each may post one rating and review about the other. The completion markers and reviews are user statements, not NormBid inspection or certification of work. Reviews must describe a genuine experience and must not be fabricated, compensated to distort ratings, knowingly false, threatening, or unlawfully disclose private information. Users may report concerning content. NormBid may investigate and moderate under site rules, including hiding content, but does not guarantee the accuracy of reviews or act as a court for private project disputes. Support ticket statuses describe our handling of a report, not a determination of legal fault.
9. Availability, deadlines, and confirmations
Network failures, device problems, maintenance, software errors, high traffic, and third-party outages may delay or prevent access or submissions. Drafting a form or pressing Submit does not prove that our system received it. A listing or response counts as recorded only after the site displays a success confirmation and it appears in the appropriate account or listing view. Submit before deadlines and check for confirmation. If you believe something failed, contact Support promptly with the relevant reference and available details. We do not promise uninterrupted service, delivery of email notices, preservation of all content, or a particular response time. These terms do not excuse conduct for which applicable law prohibits a limitation of responsibility.
10. Service Provider memberships
Clients use NormBid for free. They do not need a subscription to post or manage their own projects. Only Service Providers have membership plans. Basic remains free and currently allows five open-bidding responses per UTC calendar month; set-price expressions of interest do not use that allowance. Professional and Unlimited are monthly plans at the prices shown on the Plans page. A Service Provider's first paid-plan enrollment includes a 30-day free trial. Unless canceled before the first charge, the plan automatically charges the disclosed monthly amount after the trial and on each subsequent monthly renewal. A Service Provider may cancel anytime using Manage membership; cancellation during a trial prevents the first charge. Cancellation during a paid period prevents the next renewal charge and paid access continues through the current billing period. Canceling does not automatically refund a charge already made. Refund requests go through Support and only NormBid operations staff can approve and issue refunds, subject to applicable law. Checkout will disclose the trial end, first charge date, amount, billing interval, and cancellation terms and request separate payment authorization. Until Stripe checkout is configured, no paid enrollment or charge can occur; existing accounts are never charged merely because terms change. Project payments between Clients and Service Providers remain outside NormBid.
11. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent allowed by applicable law, NormBid is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not warrant the truth or completeness of another user's identity, license, qualifications, proposal, project details, files, ratings, ability to pay, or performance. We do not guarantee fitness for a particular project, continuous availability, a successful match, or results from using the service. Nothing here limits any warranty or right that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Responsibility and limits
Each business bears responsibility for its own agreement with and conduct toward the other business, including payment, performance, safety, and legal compliance. To the extent permitted by applicable law, NormBid is not liable for losses caused by another user's fraud, misrepresentation, nonpayment, defective work, delay, or breach of a separate project agreement. To the extent permitted by applicable law, NormBid is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from the service, including missed opportunities after outages or delayed submissions. These provisions do not remove liability for NormBid's own conduct where the law does not permit that result. They do not prevent a user from raising rights that cannot be waived.
13. Suspension, changes, and disputes with NormBid
We may suspend accounts or remove content for suspected fraud, abuse, security threats, legal requirements, or violations of these terms. Users can stop using an account and contact Support with account or content requests. We may update the service and these terms. Material changes will receive a new version and users will be asked to accept it before continuing account activity. An updated version does not automatically rewrite an earlier separate agreement between a Client and Service Provider. If you have a dispute with NormBid, contact Support with relevant details so we can investigate; this does not waive your legal rights.
14. Contact and document record
Signed-in users can reach NormBid through Support. These terms are accessible at /terms, and the Privacy Policy at /privacy. NormBid records acceptance of the version shown at account creation or later acceptance, and separately records listing and response acknowledgments.
